Title: Snow Goose Chase
Location: Beaverhill Lake (meet at the Percy Page Centre in Edmonton, Groat Road and 118 Ave.)

Description: A basic all-inclusive package tour from Percy Page Centre to Tofield and the Beaverhill Lake area.
Cost: $35, or $27 for children 12 years old or younger (cheques payable to the Edmonton Nature Club attn: Dale Lawson)

Your guided (Goes Rain or Shine!) tour includes – knowledgeable tour leaders, wildlife spotters, bus transportation (school bus) from Percy Page Centre, a hot luncheon followed by a talk with a local well-known naturalist. Areas to be visited will include lake and wetland staging areas in the Tofield area – maybe Hastings Lake, Cooking Lake, Amisk Creek, Lister Lake area and Tofield Nature Centre. All these areas will be pre-scouted.
What we will be looking for: Snow Geese, Canada and White-fronted Geese, Tundra Swans, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles,
Hawks, Bluebirds, many assorted ducks, Avocets, Pelicans, Yellowlegs, maybe even a Turkey Vulture!

- This is your chance to visit the Tofield Nature Centre
- Fun prizes throughout the day
- Possibly create life-long memories on the marvels of migration
- There will be the opportunity for optional short walks at several locations
Other considerations:
- Bring binoculars if possible, although spotting scopes will be set up at key locations to get a close-up view of the wildlife.
- A bird book if you have one.
- Caution: there are a couple of washroom stops but there is no washroom on the bus.
- Bring a warm coat and hat so that you are prepared for all possible weather conditions.
- Sunglasses help when viewing in bright sunlight.
- a light snack – (granola bar, juice, cookies)
