Description: Meet at 7AM at Elk Island Park information centre or late sleepers can meet us at Astotin Recreation Area near parking lot. We will try to find 100+ species of birds in the one day! Trip to last all day but you can leave early. Bring money for Park entry fee, good footwear, lunch, liquids. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Location: Blackfoot Reserve
Description: Meet at the Wildbird General Store at 8AM, 47123-99 St. Mostly walking, 5 to 8 km, good trails but can be muddy. Bring car pool money, lunch, liquids, good walking shoes/boots. Location: Lacombe
Description: Meet at 8AM at the Wildbird General Store, 47122-99 Street. The Ellis Bird Farm opens at 11AM. Has a tea shop and an interesting variety of goods for sale in their display area. Trip lasts all day, mostly driving, moderate walks on arrival. Bring car pool money, lunch (available at farm) liquids. Conact Brian Stevens 780-439-2841.
