We are an independent, family-run business. The store is dedicated to promoting the awareness and enjoyment of nature, both “in the wild” and in our own backyards. We are committed to customer satisfaction, education, and corporate responsibility. We promote and support locally and ethically made products, and have a strong focus on nature conservation, supporting and sponsoring initiatives such as the Northern Alberta Birding Hotline®, and birding trips around the world.
The Wildbird General Store® has a strong commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. Recent examples of in-store initiatives include retrofitting our lighting to reduce energy consumption and switching our website to a carbon-neutral web host, as well as our ongoing efforts to reuse and/or recycle all the packaging material we receive.
