Today I made another trip to Misty Ridge hoping the forecast winds developed & produced more eagles. Winds were NW 25-30 km/h most of the day with dropping temperatures & for most of the day very thick low cloud. Despite this between 12:00 & 4:00 PM a total of 14 Bald Eagle (mostly adult) & 2 Golden Eagle (adult & sub-adult) were sighted along with approx. 75 Redpolls & 500 Canada Geese. No other birds were identified, however still a good day for mid-Nov. I will continue to monitor the raptors until the end of Nov. depending on forecast winds.
