The action at the Gov't Terminal appears to be getting better all the time.  Gerald Romanchuk reported that Feb.02 he observed 2 seperate Prairie Falcons take pigeons at that location.  He then observed an imm. Gyrfalcon approx.500m east of the bldg.
The same day Gerald, along with Gerry & Jim Fox observed an adult Gyrfalcon fly over them at Hawrelak Park.  Pretty impressive birding in mid-winter.  The best time for watching the falcons at the terminal is between 10:30 – 2:30 with the 11:30 – 1:30 producing the most results.  This may be when most of the birders are there watching !

Good Luck,
Jim Lange
