Fred Whiley reported a Gray-crowned Rosy Finch at his feeder in north Edmonton on Nov.22.  A flock of 15 were photographed in the Astotin L. parking lot at Elk Island Park in late Oct.  They wander widely away from the mountains in some years being historicaly seen as far east as Brooks & Medicine Hat.
Also Hawk Owls seem to be showing up regularly now all across the Edmonton region with the latest one reported by Del Huget Nov.22 from South Cooking Lake next to the Airport.
On Nov.19, Gerald Romanchuck located a Snowy Owl on the SE corner of Bittern L.
