Fred Whiley & Alf Scott took a trip to Wabamun L. on the Sunday Mar.7 & were treated to a good number of Canada Geese & 15 gull sp.  Due to the distance the birders were unable to determine if the gulls were California or Ring-billed.  Several Tundra Swans seen would most likely still be overwintering birds.  20 Tundra Swans were reported by from Stirling L. near Lethbridge & 25 from Frank Lake near High River so it won't be long before they are here.
Several Snowy Owls or (2 reports of the same one) have been seen near Black Nugget L.   Ruth Steeves sighted one on Mar. 1 while Eric Wallace & Art Hughes had an all white male in the same area on Mar.5.  They also had a Robin in Round Hill (thought to have overwintered).
