Orst Tokorsky sighted a Boblink last week in the area around Yeoford, approx. 12km west of Pigeon L.  The other news was the confirmed sighting (with photos) of a Northern Mockingbird in the Cold Lake area on June 8.  Ted Hindmach found this bird near English Bay in the vicinity of Twp. Rd 650 & Primrose L. Rd. (Rge. Rd. 433A).  He was able to get good photos of the bird leaving no doubt as to the identification.
Other birding of interest was the second sighting of an Osprey in the Beaverhill L. area.  The Hawk Survey last Sunday sighted it climbing in a thermal just over the north end of Tofield around 11:30 AM and drifting northward.  A birding trip to Clyde area on Tues. on behalf of the Wildbird General Store ended with Trumpeter Swan, Sprauge's Pipit, Pileated Woodpecker, Meadowlark, and on Wakomao L., thousands of Franklin's Gulls.
