The Hawk Survey (WBGS) has had some interesting shorebird sightings the last 2 Sundays at the Quarry.  Black-bellied & Golden Plover, Least, Semipalmated  & Stillt Sandpiper.  Northern & Wilson's Phalarope, Wiilet, Avocet & Ruddy Turnstone.
The Amisk Cr. bridge has 4 pr. of Ruddy Duck, both Horned & Eared Grebe pairs along with a good number of Cliff Swallows uner the bridge.  Only one Yellow-headed Blackbird on the entire route.  Several Sora Rail were calliing:  Nature Centre Marsh in Tofield & the corner of Twp 502 & Black Nugget L. road (Rge Rd 182).

Both White-winged & Surf Scoters were seen on Cross L. on May 18.  Without a scope exact numbers of each were not determined as they were in a mixed group.
