We have a pair of Cassin's Finch at our feeders on our acreage north of Devon. The folks at the store thought they were more likely to be Purple Finch, but then we also saw those, and they are quite different. So we have both!
Thanks for the report of the Cassin’s Finches in the Devon area. It would be a great record for the area, however my suspicion in the birds are actually House Finch rather than Cassin’s (photos would confirm either way) as the Cassin’s is a bird of the extreme sw corner of Alberta. They are in the Waterton Lakes area of the Rockies
