Arrived here New Year's eve, with the standard set of birds coming to our feeders: chickadees, jays, white-breasted nuthatches, and a northern flicker that we have seen at the feeders every visit in recent weeks.  Lots and lots of activity when we arrived, in anticipation of new food being put in the feeders.

Interesting sight at 8 am in the morning of the new year: three white tail deer demolishing one of our backyard feeders (a low, hanging one) that was filled with black oil sunflower!
