March 24 is the first this year I've noticed robins, a pair. On March 21 saw a merlin for the first time this year. Usually see them in the winter with waxwings (none this winter) and house sparrows to chase. Horned larks have been solitary and everywhere since late February. An overwintering herd of about 120 pronghorn only about 20 now and groups of 1-5 scattered around the countryside. Mule deer not seeking out my planted (expensive) shrubs for the last month.
All signs that it is not just me that thinks it is spring.
