We have a rural property 1.5 hours northeast of Edmonton, it is slightly northwest of Vilna.  On August 30 we spotted a ruby throated male hummingbird.  We usually see one pair around all summer.  We also saw lots of Goldfinches still this past weekend.  Did not see our usual Grossbeaks this time.  Our property is surrounded by woods.
