On the lake at Lewis Estates golf course today were: several Canada Geese, a pair of buffleheads, & 3 mallards; yesterday there was a pair of widgeons also. There were 3 white-crowned sparrows on the ground today, and at least 2 red-winged blackbirds in the willows beside the lake. And by the way, a  porcupine climbed the spruce tree outside my window on Friday April 15th! sf laugh Northern Alberta Birding Hotline
