The Gray-crowned Rosy-finch is still in north Edmonton.  Fred Whiley hopes to keep it well fed & happy for the Xmas Count in a couple weeks.  Richard Klauke located both Pacific & Common Loon on Cold Lake Dec.02.  Oher highlights were White-wined Scoters, Lesser & Greater Scaup & (10+) Red-breasted Mergansers.  Amongst the few assorted gulls still there (4) Glaucous Gulls were sighted.  Due to its siize & depth the lake stays open much later in the season than other water bodies.
Closer to home, the ENC Trip to Gold Bar Park on Dec. 03, located a Common Merganser, Canada Goose & a flock of 30+ Robins.  The usual compliment of ducks were also present on the river.  A White-throated Sparrow was seen at a feeder platform along the N. Whitemud Tr. by Willi Braun Dec. 01.  The Gyrfalcon which showed up Nov.4 at the Gov't Terminal has not been observed since.  This is not unusual as several days would pass without a sighting even when they were hunting there on a regular basis.  The bird may have just been passing through, no one knows.   Birders frequentling Gold Bar should watch closely.  All the ducks on the river will certainly attract it to the area.
I will keep you posted if it shows up again at the Gov't Terminal.
