COVID-19 RESPONSE


At The Wildbird General Store, the health and well-being of our customers and staff, many who are seniors and extra vulnerable, is greatly important to us. We have taken an extra careful approach during COVID from the beginning and will continue to do so. We remain closed inside for the foreseeable future. Our big reno reveal will just have to wait!

Feeding the birds is a wonderfully beneficial pastime, for the birds and ourselves both, especially in this time of social-distancing. We are happy to help you make your selections over the phone for everything backyard birding, and from our collections of nature-inspired gifts. Our goal is to minimize in-person interactions while keeping our staff out of the elements while keeping the process as expedient as possible. Advance orders help avoid disappointment in the case that we run out of an item. We try to stay well stocked, but even we’re impressed by how hungry the birds are at times! 

ORDERING, PAYMENT & CURBSIDE PICK-UP:

ORDER DESK & PICK-UPS:
TUESDAY thru SATURDAY: 10am-4pm
 
Orders will be taken by phone (780-439-7333) with VISA or MC pre-payment, which speeds up your pick-up (& keeps staff out of the elements as much as possible). 
We can also accept debit (tap preferred) at time of pick-up. 

Orders can also be placed by email (info@wildbirdgeneralstore.com) with payment by eTransfer (we appreciate if the order is over $50 for this method). We will respond by email with your order total as time allows. Once eTransfer is received, you order will be processed for next day pick-up. Please do not proceed to the store without hearing back from us.

We’re sorry, but we do not accept cash. No exceptions.

SAME DAY PICK-UP AVAILABLE: 
Please park at the table set-up outside of the store so that we can see you! You can wait in your car until someone takes your name. They will then load your trunk. No need to phone at arrival.

No problem! Feel free to drop by! Please be patient as we take your order & process your payment.

 

CUSTOMERS WITH LIMITED MOBILITY:

Although not explicitly advertised, we have always had FREE delivery (with prepayment over the phone) to members of our community that have difficulty accessing our store. Please understand this may take some time to arrange.

DELIVERY:

We are unable to offer regular delivery (or shipping) at this time.

RESTRICTIONS:

If you are feeling unwell, are experiencing fever, cough, have exposure to anyone infected OR have returned from outside of Canada in the previous two weeks, we ask that you let your neighbours feed the birds
