COVID-19 RESPONSE


At The Wildbird General Store, the health and well-being of our customers AND staff is greatly important to us. We understand that feeding the birds is a wonderfully beneficial pastime, for the birds and ourselves both, especially in this time of social-distancing.

We’re taking an extra careful approach to re-opening, as many of our customers, & staff alike, are seniors and extra vulnerable. Thank you for your patience as we figure out all the logistics of safely re-opening for browsing inside. This includes re-arranging the store lay-out for increased elbow room & optimization of high-traffic areas.

ORDERING & PAYMENT:

TUESDAY thru FRIDAY: 10am-2pm
SATURDAY: 10am-4pm
Orders will be taken by phone (780-439-7333) with VISA or MC pre-payment. 
MOST ORDERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SAME-DAY PICK-UP

Orders can also be placed by email (info@wildbirdgeneralstore.com) with payment by eTransfer. We will respond by email with your order total as time allows. Once eTransfer is received, you order will be processed for next day pick-up. 

We’re sorry, but we can no longer accept debit (or cash). No exceptions.

CURBSIDE PICK-UP:

Please park at a table out front & someone will check in with you shortly. We will bring your order out & leave it on the table with your receipt. Please remain in your vehicle while we are outside.

AVAILABILITY:

We are able to fill orders for all regularly stocked items!

Check out our seed & suet offerings (with new low prices, no membership required), plus our locally hand-crafted bird houses, bird feeders, bird baths, games, puppet & puzzle listings, along with gifts for mom AND Tilley hats! We’re working on adding additional product catalogues, feel free to email with inquiries in the meantime.

Maximums are in place for seed & suet as below. For bulk bin items please consider 5 & 10lb amounts.

CUSTOMERS WITH LIMITED MOBILITY:

Although not explicitly advertised, we have always had FREE delivery (with prepayment over the phone) to members of our community that have difficulty accessing our store. Please understand this may take some time to arrange.

DELIVERY:

We are unable to offer regular delivery (or shipping) at this time.

RESTRICTIONS:

If you are feeling unwell, are experiencing fever, cough, have exposure to anyone infected OR have returned from outside of Canada in the previous two weeks, we ask that you let your neighbours feed the birds.

EVENTS:

All store events are cancelled until further notice.

30 YEARS IN 2020:

We’re sad that this is where we find ourselves as we were supposed to be celebrating our 30th year of feeding the birds. We look forward to continuing to celebrate the great little shop that Jack and Ellen built when all this gets sorted out.
